When applied correctly with a standard garden sprayer or PetraTools HD101 using a fan-flat nozzle, the dye goes on evenly. Use overlapping passes and 2 light coats, waiting a few minutes between coats.

It uses rich color pigments that soak into the mulch and stick to the surface. This helps faded mulch look darker, fresher, and more even again, with black color that stands up to normal outdoor weather.

Coverage depends on how faded your mulch is and how strong you mix the dye. The 32-ounce bottle covers up to 3,600 square feet, and the 1-gallon bottle covers up to 14,400 square feet when properly diluted and applied.
